How do we consider the effects of sexual health for people whose identities and experiences are not cisgender, heterosexual, able-bodied or white? Or for people whose socioeconomic experience constitutes persistent and complex traumas that cannot always be addressed by western based psychological theories? This workshop will explore the unique experiences of intersectional and diverse beings in the clinical space and how clinicians can be more intentional in treatment options and understanding of sexual needs.
What you will learn:
- Define & explore Intersectionality
- Considerations in decolonizing clinical practice
- Defining Sexual Liberation
- ACCESS framework for decolonizing clinical practice
